Two Muslim Doctors Arrested in Haryana for Terror Links: Massive Explosives Seized in Faridabad Raid

In a startling revelation that has sent shockwaves across the nation, two doctors — Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather and Dr. Muzammil Shakeel — have been arrested in Haryana for their alleged involvement in a major terror module operating out of Faridabad. The arrests come after a large-scale anti-terror operation that uncovered one of the biggest explosive seizures in recent years, estimated at nearly 2400 kilograms of arms, ammunition, and bomb-making materials.

According to investigative sources, both doctors were allegedly working as part of an interstate and transnational terror network associated with banned organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The network is believed to have been actively involved in radicalization, recruitment, fundraising, and logistical support — all key components of terror planning and execution.

The operation, carried out jointly by Haryana Police and intelligence agencies, led to the discovery of the massive cache from a rented house in Faridabad. The site reportedly contained industrial-grade ammonium nitrate, weapons, and IED-making components — indicating potential large-scale attack plans that were fortunately thwarted in time.

Investigators have also detained several other suspects linked to the same module, uncovering a wide web of connections that stretched from Kashmir to Haryana, and possibly beyond India’s borders. The probe has revealed chilling details of how terror outfits are exploiting educated individuals and professionals, including those in trusted sectors like medicine, to advance extremist agendas under the guise of normalcy.

This case stands as a stark reminder of the changing face of terrorism in India — where radicalization can infiltrate even educated circles, blurring the lines between intellect and ideology. Authorities continue to track financial and communication channels linked to the accused to fully dismantle the network.

The successful crackdown marks a major victory for Indian security forces but also highlights the urgent need for vigilance, intelligence-sharing, and community awareness to prevent such infiltration in the future.
