CBI Submits Report on Mahua Moitra Regarding Cash-for-Query Case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially submitted its report to the Lokpal about the alleged cash-for-query scandal involving Mahua Moitra, a Member of Parliament from the Trinamool Congress. This inquiry followed serious accusations suggesting that Moitra accepted bribes from businessman Darshan Hiranandani in exchange for posing specific questions in Parliament.

A preliminary investigation by the CBI has revealed some concerning findings. The anti-corruption watchdog, Lokpal, received the CBI's findings after a complaint was lodged by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey. He accused Moitra of directing questions at the Adani Group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, allegedly under Hiranandani's influence. This situation raised eyebrows, particularly because it implied that gifts were exchanged for these targeted inquiries.

The CBI's report indicates that there is prima facie evidence showing that Moitra may have shared her Lok Sabha login details, which could point to involvement in these serious allegations of misconduct. An FIR against both Moitra and Hiranandani was filed last year, marking an important step in the ongoing investigation to fully uncover the extent of this alleged corruption.

As of now, the Lokpal has instructed the CBI to dig deeper into the matter and provide a more detailed report within six months. While Mahua Moitra has denied these allegations, the investigation is crucial to determine the truth behind these claims and any potential misconduct surrounding the cash-for-query allegations.

In summary, the CBI has completed its investigation and provided a detailed report involving Mahua Moitra, indicating possible involvement in corrupt practices related to cash-for-query activities.
